Why is a good moral people required for good government?

For me, to define this question first I have to figure out what moral people are. The definition of moral is; good, honest, just, decent, and virtuous; a moral person does not lie or steel. To me that means a moral person believes in his/her ideals and tries his/her best to reach them, they have integrity and are honest and willing to do the right thing. They do what is right not what is easy.

Now to define why moral people are required for good government. Well for one thing laws would be bad because they must define the right thing to do and what will help people, if there weren't moral people to make those laws they will fail, and our country will, too. Moral people also must be in existence so that government can continue doing the right thing and elect a good president, as well as governors and representatives for the states and the country. And to explain and make deals and to promote America and Americas well being. That is how I would explain why moral people are required for good government.

Learning from history

Let’s Work Together
by Zack Milne
Abraham Lincoln was glumb
Robert E. Lee was a plumb
One wanted the right
The other to fight
They marched to the beat of thr’ own drum
Abe was a frontier bloke
About good laws he spoke
With Congress he sat
Chewing the fat
Wanting to free the slave folk
He wanted to free all the slaves
he had to be courageously brave
For about his cause
He created some laws
The South thought he was a knave
Robert E. Lee was a dandy
He liked to drink wine and brandy
He rose in the ranks
He didn’t use blanks
With a gun he was so handy

He was a Virginian man
Stick with Virginia, he can
He’ll never stray
Till he gets his way
Creating his battlefield plan
So against one another they fought
Using the strategies they taught
If one side won
The other’d be done
Leaving us to deal with the lot

We can all learn from this story
That one persons might isn’t glory
If we all combine
Life will be fine
Fighting and war is too gory

Define the word stubborn, and is it a good thing to be stubborn?

The dictionary says that stubborn means: having or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, especially in spite of good arguments or reasons to do so. Ok, well imagine if no one in the word was stubborn, everyone would be obedient, and that would be boring! But mostly being stubborn is good, to a certain extent. There is a place to stop though, you should not be stubborn at every single thing a person says, that would be argumentative, and that is not good, what a lot of people in the world need to know is how to tell stubbornness from being plain argumentative, so many people think they are being stubborn when they are being argumentative. Now though I need to tell you what the difference is, ask yourself, are you standing up for something you believe in, or are you standing up for everything, even if you think it might be bad, just standing up for it for the sake of it? Men in the war were stubborn, they stood being tortured, not just for the sake of it, because they were brave, because it was for their country, because it was the right thing to do, it wasn't easy, but it was right. Sometimes thought it is useless to be stubborn, if the object is impossible to reach, like in this quote: In the face of an obstacle which is impossible to overcome, stubbornness is stupid.

Simone de Beauvoir

In conclusion, stubborn is a good thing, if you are doing it for the right reasons.

What is your personal responsibility to America and freedom?

What is your personal responsibility to America and freedom?
I as an american belive it my duty to do my best to uphold our constitution and the memories of war, peace, happiness and prosperity within it. Fighting for our country to keep the honors of the men and women that died to protect our country, The United States Of America.
I belive that I Will do my duty to America by supporting the troops and helping to provide food and clothing for them. Also helping the homeless and donating clothes to places like goodwill, and St. Vincent de Paul.
There are so many small things that make a difference too! Standing up for bullying, what is right, telling the truth. Standing up for liberty even if nobody notices.
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and loose out freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Abraham Lincon
The law, it protects our freedom. True laws protect people they don't take things and give them to other people, no, true laws let you give willingly to other people. Steeling is ALWAYS wrong, even when it may be a law, or hidden under one, it is still wrong
For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhancesthe freedom of othere. Nelson Mandela I am an american, we have rights, meaning I have some things I can do and nobody else can stop me. But there are some things that I shouldn't do that is where your concience works. It tells you what is right and what is not.
Freedom is never more than one generation away fron extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstreem. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same. Rohnald Reagan
Freedom that only asks..." -Barack Obama motivational inspirational ...

American freedom. What is my part?

The state of freedom we have in America is very uncommon. And it is my duty as a citizen and human being to maintain my rights that are available to all in this country. I believe that America is the place that has gotten the closest to being completely free. I believe that America is becoming less and less free with the government slowly taking over and the reason that is happening is because the American people do not understand the important of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and other important documents that helped to create America and American government. If people understood freedom and how unique their freedom is instead of taking it for granted, then we would be a much stronger country. I know that Americans must be educated and the people must know that they are free for if we do not understand that we are free we will not be. Because people with bad intentions will take it away by corrupting the education system and giving the youth "new ideas” about government, America and our Founding Fathers, that frankly are lies. In this new society we would not appreciate our Founding Father's original philosophy that all men are created equal and the people make up a country. My duty is to know that I have rights and to help educate others so that they are also aware their freedom and rights. I don't believe that freedom is absolute anarchy with no government at all. For that society would immediately fall apart. I believe that freedom is rights and privileges created by the people maintained by the people. My point is that America has freedom but if we do not uphold our ideas of freedom then they will be taken away. So we must learn.
